Paolo, 0.9 is not compatible with Genesis because the output format has changed. I've discussed this already with the Genesis author, he intends to update Genesis.

Regarding time zone: "still" and "the problem" implies that this is a known issue. Has it been reported before? There are some possibilities that come to mind, but it is impossible to tell which one you suffer from. If there is no open bug report, then please open one at http://bugzilla.moblin.org/buglist.cgi?product=syncevolution with information about the server that you are using and your time zone (location, not just the offset).

syncevolution 0.9beta3 still suffers from the problem with timezone: I am at +2.00 and I had an event at 21:00, after syncing I have another at 23:00.

after installing syncevolution 0.9beta3 on my ubuntu intrepid box I can't get genesis working any more: when I launch genesis it appears being syncing, but there it hangs and I must kill it manually.

Did syncevolution change anything that prevents genesis from working?
