confusionplusplus, I do have a real job as a software developer, thanks very much. Luckily it doesn’t involve writing software for Windows.

I’m not sure what you are trying to say. Use Linux + Evolution and you will have SyncEvolution binaries. Isn’t that what you want?

If you want to stick with Windows+Outlook, then try the Funambol Outlook client. It allows you to synchronize Outlook with a SyncML server and from there to the Nokia.

As for me, like 99.9999999% of the working people in this world, my host calendar/contact database is Microsoft outlook.

So I’m looking for something to sync this so-far worthless Nokia N810 to Outlook and I run across the following statement on this web site:

“In theory the source code could also be compiled for Evolution on Windows, but so far no-one has tried that. ”

Which explains why after 10 years, Linux is still stuck in geekland. When you guys finally move out of your mother’s basement and get a real job will the rest of us finally get an alternative to Mickysoft?

Sorry if that’s harsh, but I’ve been waiting a long time for that alternative and this expensive Nokia was a heck of a big disappointment.
