I have to disappoint those hoping to get an answer to this question here – I don’t know it myself at this time. My own iPhone still runs 1.0.2 and Funambol has tested on 1.1.1, so those two firmware versions are known to be compatible. For 1.1.2 I have less good news: one user has just upgraded and SyncEvolution started to segfault after the upgrade. So my question to anyone out there with 1.1.2: does SyncEvolution work or not? Please respond by email or leave a comment.

I’am using SyncEvolution on an iPod Touch 1.1.2 – it works absolutely fine. No problems. Just waiting desperately for wireless calender support
because iTunes is not allowed on our company PCs.
Hi!
Bit off-topic, but couldn’t find any better place for it..
I *really* wan’t to use your software, but my corp. exchange server supports only syncML over SSL, and I guess this was not compiled with support for SSL.
Basically I’m waiting for this to work so that I can migrate to the iPhone, vs. my nokia with MailForExchange.. Symbian isn’t that addictive
I’d be happy to support in monetary fashion..
/Steffen
Steffen, you are right, the libcurl inside the binary was intentionally compiled without SSL to keep the library small. Using SSL without server certificate checking only provides protection against eaves-dropping, but would not prevent a man-in-the-middle attack. I have no experience with that yet, but will put it onto my todo list.
You mentioned MailForExchange – note that currently mail cannot be synchronized.
Regarding your offer for monetary support, I accept donations from users who like the current tool (http://www.estamos.de/projects/SyncML/Support.html#Supporting+SyncEvolution). But please don’t try to pay for new features because I cannot promise if and when I’ll get to those.
I have no problem using syncML via the Funambol app on the 1.1.2 iphone. Thanks for the great work.
By the way, there is a great ToDoList app (Instaler.app) being developped. The next version will have Notes as well. Could be nice to link up with them for syncing the Todo and Notes (I think they are trying to develop syncing, they might be happy to talk to you!)
